Help Administration Form

An inquiry into the social contract

Ask for help. It’s literally why we’re social.”

This form is designed to facilitate the ethical transfer of aid from one human being to another.

The Help card addresses one of the most difficult acts in ordinary life: asking for help. Despite living in dense social systems built on cooperation, many people struggle to articulate need without discomfort or embarrassment.

Framed as a formal request form, the card borrows the language and structure of bureaucratic paperwork to create a small moment of permission. Participants are invited to acknowledge a need, however small or large, within a format that feels structured and safe. Humor and institutional language soften the vulnerability of the act.

The card draws loosely on philosophical ideas about cooperation as a natural human condition. If we live together, we inevitably rely on one another. The form simply makes that reality visible.

Like the other cards in this series, Help uses familiar administrative formats to explore everyday social negotiations. By turning a difficult human interaction into a simple, playful form, the work lowers the emotional barrier and invites reflection, honesty, and connection.
