Product Development

I began my career in product development in 2004 with the international retailer Walmart. Working under the internal brand NOBO, I created apparel graphics and sketches for boys, girls, and young men’s categories. My work involved developing artwork, placement graphics, tossed prints, and concept sketches while coordinating with the company’s New York trend office and communicating design direction to overseas suppliers.

As my role expanded, I moved into graphic and textile design for direct-import apparel, particularly in the intimates category across multiple internal brands. I developed production documents for international partners and traveled both domestically and abroad to ensure accurate product execution, refining fabric treatments and graphic applications in ways that improved both design quality and manufacturing outcomes.

In 2008, I relocated to Seattle to join the product development team at Nordstrom. As part of the TBD team within the Nordstrom Product Group, I worked on print design and managed color development from inspiration through production for internal brands including Stem, Hinge, and Flounce.

Since then, my practice has expanded into other mediums, but I continue to return to fabric as a foundational material and a source of ongoing experimentation.
