SUBVERSIVE / FLUID NATURE PALETTE

FABRICATIONS:

  1. Lightweight ripstop nylon
For windbreakers, packable jackets, overshirts, utility pants, and bags. Especially good in ochre and mustard because the subtle grid adds dimension without introducing print.

  2. Softshell / stretch woven
For cleaner technical trousers, fitted utility jackets, travel pieces, and hybrid tailoring. Gives us performance behavior without everything looking like mountaineering equipment designed by a committee.

  3. 400gsm brushed cotton fleece
For hoodies, crewnecks, sweatpants, and oversized layering pieces. This is one of the hero materials for Cocoa Powder, because the chalky pile changes how the brown reads compared with a flat shell.

  4. Heavyweight loopback / compact cotton jersey
For premium sweats, tees, polos, and layering knits. Cleaner and more structured than fleece, useful when we want the same earth tones to feel urban rather than outdoorsy.

  5. Fine-gauge knit / performance knit
For base layers, mock necks, lightweight sweaters, and tonal layering. Particularly useful in mustard, sage, stone, and cocoa where small texture changes can do enormous amounts of work.

  6. Brushed wool / wool-blend twill
For overshirts, relaxed coats, trousers, and elevated outerwear. This gives the palette a premium lifestyle lane and stops the group becoming one endless nylon zip pocket.

  7. Tropical wool / lightweight suiting
For relaxed tailoring, wide-leg trousers, technical blazers, and hybrid workwear. Stone, bark, cocoa, and deep olive are particularly strong here.

  8. Garment-dyed cotton twill / canvas
For utility jackets, carpenter pants, cargos, overshirts, and field pieces. Washed or sueded finishes would make the earth palette feel softer and more lived-in.

  9. Matte technical shell / 2.5L–3L performance nylon
For shells, parkas, rain jackets, technical trousers, and modular outerwear. Dry, low-luster surfaces are ideal for deep olive, cocoa, and black olive. Where appropriate, we can specify PFAS-free DWR treatments as the intended performance direction.
